So apparently Madonna has started asking fans for contributions to help her build an all-girls school in Malawi, something Oprah did in 2002. Not to say that her efforts aren't noble and all, but let's face it, it's been done. I totally get it though, building schools for underpriveleged kids is a great thing, and I think everyone on the planet should have access to education.

But honestly, I have a big issue with this. Here's Madonna, who is SUPER famous (and loaded) who is building a school and supporting students across the world, when there are students living in her own backyard that go without textbooks EVERYDAY.  There's something to be said about taking care of the people in your family (or country) before you go and try and save the rest of the world.

 I have done you wrong.  I have actually known about this band for almost a year now, and I haven't posted anything.  However, I am redeeming myself, non?  This is particularly for Fluxy!!!  So, if you don't know... now you know!

Ed Westwick is in a British Punk-esque band called The Filthy Youth.  Since Chuck Bass is paying the bills, the band had been put on hold.  However, it seems like they "might" be going on tour, as it says on Ed's myspace "Preparing for a Filthy Youth tour".  They perform in Manhattan all the time because that's where GG films. 

Oh God, Tell me it's true... Tell me Chuck Bass will come to Canada.  Dears, we must collectively pray on this one!!! God will hear us!!!

NO ONE is as perfect as they seem.  We always hear that models have flaws too.  Yes they do.  I, for one, believe with flaws they actually look more real and beautiful.  After all, they weren't chosen to be models with a face full of make up, right?  It is their natural beauty that put them on the runway.  These pictures are from Nars' Makeup Your Mind.  This book features 65 before/after pictures of models, it's a step-by-step instruction guide for makeup!  Personally, I'd rather not.  I don't want to look like a clown.

Side note:  In her natural picture, Naomi Campbell actually looks kind.  I wouldn't think that she's a phone-chucker.  And, in the last picture, Karen Elson actually looks better without makeup. 

 Ok, so I know most of you know that the Jonas Brothers are one of hottest gigs around these days. Not only are Kevin, Nick and Joe TOTALLY adorable, but they're also amazing performers, selling out concerts everywhere they go. And this is the part where I tell you something you don't already know.

There is only supposed to be one prince charming for every princess (aka ladies).  I'll be nice... and share this one.  I'll admit, I'm usually sceptical about Canadian music.  Why you ask?  Because there have been too many times when musicians have simply chosen to follow the popular American route instead of staying true to being Canadian.  Anyway, about this prince, the Prince of R&B North to be exact (Princes need to have an official title after all).  His name is Dru Grange and I LOVE LOVE LOVE his new album, "The One".  His voice is kind, compassionate and endearing.  Wow, can you handle all that love?  His album is called "The One" and dedicated to love.  Not only romantic relationships though, on one song he speaks of his family. I love that he seems so sincere.  I've actually seen him in person, he definitely seems very humble and kind. All this just screams  A PRINCE!!!!  His cuteness does help too :P  Enjoy!

Besides the fact that she has had some CRAZY problems in the last couple of years, Lindsay seems to be genuinly happy with galpal Samantha Ronson, according to an interview she did for Harper's Bazaar. But also don't get crazy drunk all the time and go nuts like Lyndsey. Self-exploration doesn't have to mean self-mutilation.

 Here is the new cover for Britney's  album "Circus.  Do you like it?  I actually really hate it.  It looks like a Jessica Simpson country album cover.  What's with it?  It's supposed to be the comeback album to show us she's not so crazy...THIS is just very very disappointing.  Oh, I wonder if Chris Croker will respond???  I won't really get into all the airbrushing, the ugly stars framing the CD, the out-of-control weave and the cheesy dress that no one wears at a circus.   She's also been posting up a lot of videos of her working out and preparing for her tour via her official website.  Riiight!  Now that the paps don't want "a piece of her", she's giving us random "pieces of her" herself.  She still has time to change the cover... Britney, listen to us, your loyal fans... change that ugly cover!!!  

Darlings, I know you loved the GG episode this week, 'cause I loved.  Perhaps CW can be kind enough to turn J. Humphrey Designs into a real clothing line?  It's hot enough to compete on this market.  Until then, here is the music video of the guerilla fashion show.  BTW, was it me or is Little J totally shrinking?  Now that she's technically homeless, it may get worse.  Come on girl. eat something!!!

 I've finally taken some time to listen to Lady GaGa's album.  I guess we all need fluff sometimes in our life.  Not all music has to be serious.  But I reserve fluff for people who are truly entertaining: Britney, Gwen, PCD, Danity Kane, you know?  They all do their own thing, but it's still bubble-pop.  Lady GaGa???  Well, I guess Gwen is on vacation, so we need a stand-in understudy.  The thing about understudies, they think they're stealing some kind of spotlight... but there's something that's just not quite "star" about them.  On parts of the album, GaGa sounds just like Gwen, except with a dance beat.  And then, there's the look -- the bleach blonde bang cut.  Sigh, understudies are so ambitious and transparent.
